Delayed Post
I wasn’t able to get this one posted yesterday. At work we had a very interesting luncheon/ potluck. I approach this type of thing base on the situation. I prefer not to break my fasting schedule, but occasionally it is worth it to me. We have to balance the significance of the event with our plan and routine.
This particular event was quite special. Each person was required to bring a dish that was significant to their life. It was recommended that we choose a dish that represented our upbringing or our culture. I chose to smoke pork ribs, and make sweet tea. The ribs went over extremely well, there were no leftovers and plenty of kind words. I mostly enjoyed tasting the variety of dishes. Another awesome part of the meal was that each person stood up and introduced their dish, to include what it meant to them.
This lunch meant a deviation from my normal schedule. I had an extended window, that included popcorn and a drink when I watched Avengers last night. Today I am good so far. No cravings yet. This is mostly about tomorrow but I do want to mention that I am planning to eat at my normal time today. Likely 4-6pm depending on how today goes.
Yesterday’s run was 4.5 miles as a group. We sustained a fairly slow pace throughout. Today I plan to jog a mile and workout.
